The Gifted Alliance, Inc is a 501c3 nonprofit organization founded by Vernon Jackson, a compassionate hairstylist and advocate for inclusivity. The organization's mission is to empower children with special needs by creating safe, joyful environments that honor their unique qualities. Through their signature program, The Gifted Event, they provide an experience that builds confidence, fosters self-expression, and brings families together. The main goals for the website are awareness and support, with additional goals including donations, volunteer sign-ups, and program registration. The website aims to build a movement of empathy, advocacy, and acceptance that extends from Cincinnati to communities nationwide.​
The Gifted Alliance was born from a simple yet profound observation by founder Vernon Jackson, a dedicated hairstylist from Cincinnati. While working in his salon, Noble Barbershop and Salon, Jackson noticed the challenges that children with special needs face during haircuts. What many experience as a routine task often became overwhelming for these children due to sensory sensitivities, communication barriers, and heightened anxiety. Recognizing the need for a safe, inclusive environment where every child could feel comfortable and respected, Jackson created The Gifted Event—a program designed to transform the
haircut experience into an empowering, confidence-building moment for children with special needs.

Since its founding, The Gifted Alliance has made a significant impact within the Cincinnati community and beyond. The positive response from families and the wider public has been overwhelming, with millions captivated by Jackson’s compassionate approach through viral videos and media features on platforms like The Jennifer Hudson Show, Good Morning America, and NBC Nightly News. His story has inspired others in the hairstyling industry to adopt more inclusive practices, sparking a ripple effect of compassion and empathy.
Though still a young organization, The Gifted Alliance continues to grow, driven by a mission to create a world where every child, regardless of their needs, can embrace their individuality in a safe and supportive setting.
